Hokkaido Soupcurry Shop

I love Hokkaido soup curry having eaten it several times in Hokkaido Japan. This place is nicely built to feel like. Japanese izakaya. The soup curry was similar but not exactly as I expected, yet I enjoyed the meal! I would recommend this small restaurant.

A Hokkaido soup curry restaurant with excellent taste. As a personal favorite, soup curry is quite hard to find in Thailand, but this place truly satisfied me. The restaurant is small and mostly frequented by Japanese guests so the staff can communicate in basic Japanese. The curry is flavorful with a rich aroma and fresh vegetables. Highly recommended.

I have been wanting to try this place ever since I found it on Google months ago and I finally had the chance to try it today. The restaurant specializes in Hokkaido soup curry as the name suggests comes from the Japanese island of Hokkaido. Unlike normal Japanese curry, the Hokkaido version is a soup meant to be slurped and includes several vegetables and proteins. I got the hamburger curry and ordered the coconut flavored soup. The broth was extremely aromatic, flavorful and full of spice. Both the hamburger and vegetables were very tender as well. It paired well with the restaurant's lassi which only costed 20 baht. This meal was easily one of the best Japanese foods I have eaten in Bangkok so far. The homemade cola is really refreshing as well. The shop also specializes in a type of Japanese-Indian fusion curry that is also popular in Japan. I eagerly await my next meal at this establishment.

Have always been interested to try japanese soup curry. To be honest, I have no prior experience on what actual japanese soup curry should taste like, but if you like curries, think of this as a mild yellow curry. I would recommend minimum spicy level 3. The black curry though, was a delight. Apparently u can customize the spiciness between level 1 - 10. Personally, I don't feel any spiciness at all at level 1. Very cosy typical japanese restaurant setup, which is not a bad thing. Would recommend anyone to just pop buy and give the curries a try!

Hokkaido style curry restaurant. I was surprised to their quality. It is the same as I ate in Japan. Staff is also nice. Probably cash only. There are many posters in the toilet.

The portions were HUGE! As first-timers, we didn’t realize we could’ve easily shared instead of ordering one each—but hey, a hungry tummy makes you ambitious! The curry was super thick and packed with flavor, and the menu? Oh wow, so many options! My eyes were practically running laps trying to decide. If only I had a bottomless stomach to devour all the deliciousness! It’s a cozy little spot, perfect for grabbing a drink and chilling after a long day. The place is full of good vibes and the perfect refueling station for your curry cravings!

Curry dishes absolutely done right. Absolutely delicious tonkatsu curry with extensive spice levels to choose from. The restaurant offers two choices of rice to enjoy along with the curry dishes, which were the normal Japanese rice and the fragrant, yellow-coloured curcumin rice. I opted for the latter option as this is my first time-ever enjoying yellow rice with the katsu and curry - a new and marvelous experience for me. My companion enjoyed his ramen, which also included the two rice options. Their Asahi beer on tap was great. Would recommend this to anyone who simply enjoys Japanese curry dishes. Would love to revisit to try out other dishes, and hands down recommend.
